Pastor Tim challenges us to examine whether we’re living within our means or enslaving ourselves to debt through credit cards and loans, reminding us that the borrower is slave to the lender and we don’t truly own anything until it’s paid off. Let us maintain a posture of obedience and gratitude by tithing with joy, living within our means, being vigilant against financial temptation, establishing budget systems, and building our financial foundation on the rock of God’s Word rather than being shipwrecked on the rocks of financial ruin through covetousness, greed, and keeping up with the Joneses.
